What exactly is Business?
Investopedia: “A business is defined as an organization or enterprising entity engaged in commercial, industrial, or professional activities.”
Wikipedia: “Business is the activity of making one’s living or making money by producing or buying and selling products.”
And Merriam-Webster defines it as “the activity of making, buying, or selling goods or providing services in exchange for money”
I, however, have a problem with all of the above, because in reality any business which is only focused on the above as its reason for existing would indeed be a very lousy business. My definition of a business encompasses three vital aspects to wit: 1) Primary focus is service to humanity. 2) It provides superior service, and or products of absolute quality. 3) It produces prosperity and contentment for the owners, founders, and employees.
If what you are currently doing has the above three ingredients in that exact order you are doing everything correctly and should not have any issues.
However, if on the other hand, you find yourself stressed, frustrated, and unable to understand what went wrong? if you seem to work harder for the business, than it does for you, or if you are constantly working in your business and not on your business, if it seems that the business will fall apart the moment you walk away, then my friend something drastically has gone wrong.
My definition of business is not easy to accomplish, but I can guarantee it is absolutely possible and doable, you just need the right tools and guidance.
If you are ready to take your business to where it is fulfilling all three above-described functions then let us start a conversation and explore how I may be of service to you.
