Commitment to Community: Donation Request Guidelines

Our Position

At TC Group, community support is not a branding exercise, a marketing channel, or a public-relations function. It is a responsibility.

Las Cruces is our home. Dona Ana County is our community. Our giving is focused, disciplined, and guided by impact—not visibility.

We support efforts that directly and measurably improve the lives of families facing real hardship. When circumstances allow, we may extend support beyond the county, but local needs take precedence.

Our philosophy is simple:
True generosity prioritizes impact over recognition.

We measure our contribution not by how often our name appears, but by whether someone eats, sleeps safely, stays warm, receives care, or gets through a difficult season with dignity intact.

Charitable support is entirely separate from TC Group’s advisory and diagnostic work.
Donation requests are not evaluated in relation to, or as a substitute for, business engagements.


What We Support

Due to the volume of requests we receive, our charitable contributions are intentionally concentrated on essential human needs, including:

  • Food insecurity and nutrition access

  • Shelter, housing stability, and homelessness prevention

  • Clothing and basic necessities

  • Medical or health-related assistance

  • Temporary financial hardship relief

Support is typically provided through:

  • Direct services

  • Gift cards

  • Vetted local scrip or assistance programs

These methods allow us to deliver aid with dignity, speed, and accountability.


What We Do Not Support

To be explicit and transparent:

  • We do not participate in sponsorships, advertising placements, bulletin listings, calendars, or logo-driven promotions.

  • We do not treat charitable giving as a marketing activity.

  • We generally do not fund events, galas, or promotional fundraisers unless they clearly address urgent community needs.

While we respect schools, extracurricular programs, and institutional fundraising, they are not our primary focus unless basic needs are directly involved.


Request Timing

All donation requests must be submitted at least 8–12 weeks prior to the event or need.

This window allows us to:

  • Properly review requests

  • Verify alignment with our giving priorities

  • Make decisions responsibly

Requests submitted outside this timeframe may not be considered.

We respect organizations and individuals who serve quietly, consistently, and without spectacle. While we cannot support every request, each submission is reviewed with care and evaluated through the lens of necessity, dignity, and real impact.

“Why We Sometimes Say No”

A Brief Explanation

We believe clarity is respectful.

We say no when:

  • A request is primarily promotional or marketing-driven

  • The need falls outside basic human necessities

  • The timing does not allow for responsible review

  • The request does not align with our community focus

Saying no is not a judgment of the cause or the people behind it. It is a reflection of our responsibility to remain focused and effective with finite resources.
